The Beeson family has flourished over the
years. Ironically, I now live in the same Ohio Township where my
grandfather (Frank A. Beeson) and grandmother (Theresa Kastner
Beeson) lived for many years before passing away. Butler Township,
located in southwestern Ohio ... north of Dayton ... was home to
the Beesons. On a sprawling farm, which is now the Dayton International
Airport, my grandparents nurtured six boys and five girls. Today,
five of the aunts and uncles are still alive. We hold a Frank Beeson
family reunion every other year allowing us to keep track of the
growing Beeson family tree.

I met and became friendly with an English
physician named Brian Beeson, in 1950, when he was working temporarily
at a Tuberculosis Sanitorium in Manitoba, Canada. He mentioned
that his father and he had been able to bring back some soldiers
stranded on the beach at Dunkirk, France, in May or June of 1940.
In 1950 he seemed to be in his mid 20's. I wonder if he is still
alive, and if so if one can find his whereabouts.

I
live in Milton Keynes and know very little of my family history
save that the paternal side come from Birmingham. my paternal great-grandfather
was called Samuel Beeson. My paternal grandfather was called Frank
Beeson but I have no idea what his wife was called. She died in the
1930s. Frank Beeson died in about 1978. Frank had 4 legitimate children:
Cyril, Lillian, Leslie and Kenneth. With the exception of my father
Leslie I suspect they are all now dead; certainly Kenneth is, he
died in 2001. I think there was one other child Jean who was (I understand)
born out of wedlock. My father was born in 1926 so his siblings will
have been born no earlier than 1920 nor later
than 1930.
My father's family lived in the Yardley area before moving to
Fordrough Lane, Bordesley Green.
My father has no interest in developing any contacts with members
of his family but I do. Any enlightenment would be welcome therefore.

I
am trying to trace Beesons from Lincs but again not too sure about
this. My father was Gordon Beeson, his parents were Horace Beeson
and Doris Beeson nee Green. Hhorace's father was William who I
first find in 1881 census married to Ada/Adelaide Milner. His
birth place
is shown as Great Hale, Lincs but I cannot verify this. They married
in 1877 in Chesterfield, Derbys. His father's name is left blank,
but a later marriage shows his father listed as Henry. Help!!!!!!

I
wrote to you a few weeks ago wondering if you knew of any Beesons
in Frisby on the Wreake. I have now found out that my Beesons
are actually from Rearsby and Jane Beeson married my ancestor
Isaac Marriott. The problem is now that I have found that on
the marriage info it only lists Jane's mother as Anne Beeson
as does the christening info. Is there any way to discover if
this Jane was born out of wedlock? Would church records show
this? If this Jane was born out of wedlock, I am guessing that
Anne Beeson (born 1808 in Rearsby) was the daughter of John Beeson
and Barbara Thompson(married July 10, 1776 in Rearsby. From there
I can only guess which John Beeson (born 1773 or 1770) is my
descendant. As you can see this all hinges upon finding out:
a. Was Jane a bastard child?
b. Did Anne Beeson come from Rearsby?
c. Is she the Anne Beeson of 1808 belonging to John and Barbara?
d. Which John is which?
Any suggestions you can give me to unravel this little mystery is appreciated.

I am
trying to find out some geneology stemming from my grandfather's father
Thomas Beeson Marriott, born in Frisby on the Wreake. Beeson appears
to be an unusual middle name, so we assume it was a family name from
his mother, Jane Marriott ( maiden name unknown). His father, Isaac
Marriott, was born in 1833, so I assume that his wife was born somewhere
near that time. Does anyone know of any Beesons in Frisby? Also, we
believe that Jane is possibly from Rearsby(?)

Hi,
Interested to see your page. My son is Billy Beeson (1999) My name
is Simon Beeson (1961) My father was Colin Charles Beeson (1932-1975).
We know very little about his family, although my mum Mary (nee)
Lawton
is starting to look. My grandfather was Charles Beeson (?-1970?
Westrum,Kent). We think he was born in Catford, but have no proof.
I know the
graveyard
in Chorleywood has many Beesons: it is my sister in law's church
by co-incidence. Are these the "Rickmansworth" Beesons? You will see
I continue the "Charles" name, and my other grandfathers name "Arnold"
Lawton. If you do know anything about my family, I would be interested
to hear. My grandfather worked for Wimpy Builders most of his life.
Trivia: we once owned the car plate "CB 65". |
